Cognitive strategies
Through stories of different social situations, children will learn the social skills and communication methods necessary when encountering different social situations or occasions; another is called "Theory of Mind" training, which mainly involves observation and thinking, allowing children to learn to interpret others' thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
Environmental measurement
Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH) is a currently common training approach in Hong Kong. It utilises children's visual strengths and adherence to routine to design corresponding training and schedules, helping them adapt to current environmental demands and reduce existing behavioural problems.
